![]() ![]() If you get in fast, many breakout keywords aren’t competitive yet even though the search volume is big. ![]() This is Google Trends’ way of signaling a keyword that’s quickly rising in popularity. If the % search volume increase of a keyword gets bigger than 5000%, you’ll see the word “Breakout” next to the keyword. Google Trends also lets you analyse multiple keywords at once which means you can figure out which keyword is more promising. Let’s say you have a number of similar keywords and you’re not sure which to use. The list of related keywords will be ranked in order of popularity, and each word will have a % search volume increase next to it so you can make sure the numbers are stacking up. This can be super useful for identifying keywords that are more popular and more relevant around the same search topic. When you type in a particular search term into Google Trends, the system will recommend a number of related keywords that you can check out data for too. ![]() Expanding the time range to two or three years can also help you spot keyword fads that won’t last. This means you can find out which keywords are growing in popularity and which are trailing off. The data is presented in graph form, showing how the keyword’s popularity has changed over the past year – or whatever period of time you specify. You can also change the settings to give you the data from YouTube instead. Google Trends will take your search phrase and compute the most popular keywords on Google. ![]()
